February 24th (Friday) is MAHA SHIV RATHRI. All of us know that Shiv Rathri is one of the most important and auspicious festivals for all Hindus and it is celebrated from early morning till the next morning at all the Temples around the world. Our Temple priests and volunteers are planning to celebrate this very special day with the following program.
7.30 AM: Sri SHIVA Suprabhatam
8.00 AM: Shiva Ling Abhishekam
11.30 PM : Shiva LingAbhishekham
2.00 PM : Rudhra Havan
6.30 PM: SHIVA Pradosha Abhishekham
10 Minute talk by Panditji about Shiv Rathri followed by Pooja Ceremony
8.30 PM: Shiva Parvati Kalyanam
11.00 PM Shiva Lingodhbhav Abhishekham
12 Midnight: Temple closes
Also archanas for LORD SHIVA will be performed every 30 minutes (at the request of devotees).
SHIVA NAMA smarna will start and will continue all day. We need volunteers to do the chanting for 12 hours. The chanting slots will be open for 30 to 60 minutes. If you like to volunteer to do the chanting, please sign up at the Temple at a slot that is open.
