January 8th Sunday - Vaikuntha Ekadasi with Vaikunta Dwara Pravesam

Significance of Vaikuntha Ekadasi: 

Vaikuntha Ekadasi is a very auspicious day for all Hindus and it is one of the most celebrated days at all Vaishnava Temples like BALAJI TEMPLE in Tirupathi, RANGANATHA temple in SRI RANGAM and SRI RAMA TEMPLE IN Bhadrachalam. On this day, according to Padma Purana, SRI MAHA VISHNU took SHAKTI rupam and demolished rakshasa Maran. On this day, it is believed that only on this day, Dwaram (gates) for SRI VAIKUNTHAM are opened and every one who performs EKADASI Vratam will have an opportunity to go through these dwarams to VAIKUNTHAM.

11:30AM: ENTRANCE OF THE UTSAVA MURTHIES THROUGH THE VAIKUNTHA DWARAM and chanting of VISHNU SAHASRA NAMAM

12:30PM: MANGALA AARATHI and PRASADAM
